Active Parenting Now (Western Slope) and Redirecting Children’s Behavior (SLT) - A series of classes held at a variety of locations in the community support Building Better Behavior using a positive approach to create self-motivated, cooperative, and respectful children. Play & Learn (Western Slope) - A free play group for parents and children that offers developmentally appropriate early education experiences for young children, ages birth through five. Experiential instruction provides information for parents and providers about activities that promote development and Kindergarten readiness; teaches positive guidance techniques that support discipline; and provides appropriate special needs referrals when there are concerns about development. Caring for Kids – Grandparents, relatives, friends, neighbors, nannies, and babysitters can receive information, resources, and support through personal visits, Play & Learn play groups, video resource packets, or in office consultations. Participants may also be eligible for free toys and art materials.
